X1 Who we are
Xclusive Yachts (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us") operates the Versace Yacht charter service from Wilson's Wharf, Victoria Embankment, Durban Point Waterfront, Durban, South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy.
2 Information we collect
When you submit a booking request we collect only what we need to arrange your charter:
- Contact details — first and last name, email address and phone number.
- Booking details — chosen charter date and time slot, number of guests, occasion and any special requests.
- Optional guest list — names and, if you provide them, age group, dietary or accessibility needs for individual guests.
- Technical data — basic, non-identifying information your browser sends (such as device type) to keep the site secure and working.
We do not collect card or payment details through this website. Any payment is arranged separately with our team or a secure payment provider.
3 How we use your information
- To review availability and process and confirm your booking request.
- To contact you about your charter by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- To prepare the yacht, crew and any catering, décor or extras you request.
- To meet safety, insurance and legal obligations.
Our lawful basis is the performance of the charter you request and your consent, which you give by accepting this policy when booking. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights).
4 Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to deliver your charter:
- Our skipper, crew and approved service partners (e.g. catering) for your specific charter.
- Trusted technology providers who host our booking system on our behalf (see Storage & security).
- Authorities or insurers where required by law or for safety.
5 Storage & security
Booking information is stored in our PostgreSQL database with access restricted to authorised staff through secure server-side authentication and database security policies. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online system is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and act promptly on any issue.
6 How long we keep it
We keep booking information only as long as necessary for the charter and for legitimate business, accounting and legal purposes, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
7 Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or update inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your information where we are not required to keep it.
- Object to or withdraw consent for certain processing.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

This website uses only the minimal storage needed to function. We do not run intrusive advertising trackers. Embedded content (such as the Google map on our contact page) may set its own cookies, governed by that provider's privacy policy.
